I like the way American is so different to English.

On CSI: Miami last night, Horatio Caine said "You might want to acclimate yourself before you go in. There's a lot of red in there."

1. That's a good idiom, using red instead of blood. Is there a nice long word for using an item's main attribute in place of the actual noun? I'm going to run away now and look it up.
2. See - it is a whole new language - check out the substitution of acclimate - ACK-li-mate - for acclimatise (or even, while I'm on this theme, acclimatize).

I should point out here that I'm bound to pay extra attention to anything that David Caruso says, even if someone else wrote it, as he is completely delicious. Consider this an advance warning if you like ;)
