Geometry is very important. Geometry is logic. And logic is the battlefield of adulthood.

I'm not sure if this is profound, meaningless, or just plain stupid - but then what do you expect from Columbo? In my experience, logic has nothing whatsoever to do with adulthood.

Meanwhile, in an obituary in an architectural pamphlet I was reading in Waterstones this afternoon (I'd been shopping, my feet hurt, I went in to sit on the nice squishy chair and put my bags down - I'd have read anything), a description of this week's most obscure career niche:
