Well, petrol has finally broken through the £1-a-litre barrier, which is shocking, unfair, blah blah blah.
I'm more interested in seeing how the big signs look, now that they need to use three digits before the decimal point instead of two. I bet that the oil companies haven't issued new hoardings, seeing as it would be the mother and father of all bad publicity scandals. So are the petrol stations mocking up your basic, bog-standard, home-made signs with 150pt Times New Roman, multiple sheets of A4, cling film for waterproofing, and gaffer tape?
And while I'm on the subject of our omnipotent corporate overlords, I'm still grinning involuntarily every time I remember the fact I learned last week, which is that the big pharma companies are referred to lovingly as druggernauts.
