Finished items

The purple socks are finished!

Please excuse the lame picture, I'm not very well :(

These socks are just perfect. They fit right and they feel right and my feet are warm and cosy. I'm definitely going to be making more DK weight socks.

It feels really good to make yarn from my stash into a finished object!

Most impressively though, here is my husband's finished birthday present.

The lemming is from this brilliant pattern. The umbrella is the freakish creation of my own crazed, fevered imaginings. I am never making another one.

It's eight knitted triangles sewn together and attached to a "frame" made of a bent-out paperclip. The handle is a standard plastic-coated wire bag tie, with i-cord knitted around it.

Husband squeeeeeeeeeed like a little girl when he opened it though so I am happy :)
